Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Overview
Uplauz India Private Limited ("Uplauz", "we", "our", "platform") is a technology platform that facilitates live event experiences, artist engagement, and related services.
This policy governs all payments made on the platform including:
- Event ticket purchases
- Tips and voluntary contributions
- Song requests and engagement-based payments
- Any other paid services offered through Uplauz
All refunds are processed in accordance with applicable Indian laws, payment network rules (UPI, cards), and platform policies.
2. General Principles
- All purchases made on Uplauz are final and non-transferable, unless stated otherwise
- Refunds are subject to event-specific policies, which are displayed at the time of booking
- By completing a transaction, users agree to this refund policy
3. Ticketed Events – Cancellation & Refunds
3.1 By User (Customer-Initiated Cancellation)
- Cancellation eligibility depends on the event organiser's policy
- If cancellation is allowed:
- Refund may be full, partial, or nil, based on timing
- Platform convenience fees may be non-refundable
3.2 By Organizer / Venue
If an event is:
- Cancelled → Full refund (excluding platform fees and any convenience fees, if applicable)
- Rescheduled →
- Ticket remains valid for new date OR
- Refund available if user cannot attend
3.3 Late or No-Show
- No refund will be provided for:
- Failure to attend
- Late arrival
- Missed entry due to personal reasons
4. Non-Ticket Transactions
4.1 Tips / Contributions
- Treated as voluntary payments
- Non-refundable once completed
4.2 Song Requests / Engagement Payments
- Non-refundable once the request is:
- Accepted OR
- Processed / performed
4.3 In-App Purchases / Features
- Non-refundable unless:
- Transaction failure
- Technical error attributable to the platform
5. Failed Transactions
- If money is debited but transaction fails:
- Amount is automatically refunded by the payment provider
- Timeline: 5–10 working days depending on bank/payment method
6. Refund Processing Timelines
- Approved refunds are processed within 5–7 working days
- Credit timelines:
- UPI / Wallets: 2–5 working days
- Debit/Credit Cards: 5–10 working days
- Net Banking: 5–7 working days
Delays may occur due to banking systems or payment networks.
7. Deductions & Charges
Refunds, where applicable, may be subject to:
- Platform convenience fees
- Payment gateway charges
- Cancellation charges (as defined by event/organiser)
- Convenience fees
8. Exceptional Cases (Eligible for Refund)
Refunds may be considered in the following cases:
- Duplicate transaction
- Incorrect charge due to system error
- Event cancelled by organizer
- Payment deducted but service not delivered
All such cases are subject to verification.
9. Disputes & Grievances
Users may raise refund-related queries by contacting:

If unresolved, users may escalate through applicable consumer grievance mechanisms under Indian law.
10. Compliance with Indian Law
This policy is governed by:
- Consumer Protection Act, 2019
- RBI and payment network guidelines
- Applicable e-commerce and digital transaction regulations
